Well, kalo ngeliat foto-fotonya..Mungkin pada first impression semua orang bakal bilang dya mirip Avril Lavigne. Yep, memang.
Tapi.
CUma Muka Doank yang mirip.
Baik musik, lirik, gaya, dan segalanya sangat berbeda satu sama lain.
Gw pribadi lebih memilih Katy Rose sebagai musisi panutan.
Kenapa? Karena jiwa senimannya memang terasa melebur dalam musik-musiknya yang memang keluar dai kepala mungilnya sendiri..

Dan Katy lebih eksentrik secara positif...(dibandingkan mba' Avril)..


Katy Rose lahir di bulan Januari tahun 1987...dan tumbuh menjadi seorang musisi, penyanyi, lyricist, aktris, dan sekaligus seorang produser.
Genre musiknya (walopun gw tak pernah menganggap genre itu adalah sesuatu yang perlu dikotak2in) cukup luas, meliputi modern rock, electro pop, grunge, techno, etc..

Debut Katy Rose pertama kali adalah waktu umurnya baru 16, dengan hit single Overdrive yang dijadiin OST-nya Mean Girls yang dibintangi oleh mba' Lindsay Lohan..


Sampe tahun ini, dia dah merilis 3 album, yaitu :
Because I Can (2004) (V2 Records)
Candy Eyed (2007) (River Jones Music), dan
Tangled But True (2009)


Apa yang paling menarik (menurut gw) dari Katy?
tentu saja liriknya yang sangat puitis dan ga biasa..
