Something you should read : Knife : The Spell Hunter, Faery Rebels Series by RJ Anderson

As I promised, here's the review of the Knife: The Spell Hunter, which is the first book of The Faery Rebels series written by RJ Anderson.

The first main reason I took this book off the shelf at Gramedia bookstore is a very very conspicuous artwork on it's cover.

The first second I saw it (the artwork cover), I can only stunned.

The second glance, still I mesmerized.

At last, at the third glance, I go directly to the cashier (without read the book's resume at all!)

Fortunately, the book's contents as good as the mezmerizing cover's artwork.

Well, it just weird ..

A few days before I bought the book, I was badly in despair.

I was thinking, "Sh*t, boring books of faery on the bookstore today. The story is always about woman human being who falls in love or being forced to fall in love with a fae man."

And in the next few days, because the destiny off course, I met with this amazing book.

The main point of discussion in the "Knife: The Spell Hunter" is about the adventures of Bryony, a young fairy girl who strong-willed, tough and strong.

A little tomboy, but only until he was reunited with Paul McCormick (in childhood, they had met). Paul is a young man, who was brilliant as the sunshine.

But being as cold as a frostbitten toes in the Arctic, after the accident happened to him and caused permanent damage to his collumna vertebralis, so he became paralyzed.

Yep, this is a story of forbidden love between fairies and humans, but now from a different paradigm!

Many action scenes are pretty exciting in the plot of this novel.

BUT the surviving antagonist cast is only The Old Wormwood.

After all he's a crow, which was never really intended to act mean.

While the main enemy, Jasmine, is dead in a loongg time agooo. Too bad.

Weaknesses of this novel include:

1. The early part of the story is too quiet, so that too much shocking information and complex explanations at the end of the story. This makes reader gets really confused.

2. Strangely, the main antagonist of the novel is dead before the main character's birth.

It is so unexciting.

3. It's aimed to the printing companies and publishers in Indonesia, namely Ufuk Publishing House.

Please note that a lot of typographical errors in this translated novel.

Many translations are also somewhat less fit.

Ah, I can hear my sister screaming, "I told y'! DON'T read Bahasa Indonesia translated novels!".

Throughout the adventure of reading this book, I often stared and stared at the artwork made ​​by Melanie Delon in the book cover. It just so fabulous ..

The illustration looks like a living creature..

The strong, hard and tough but lonely character is really reflected in expressions of the illustrated fairy!

It's really amazing!!

Or the illustrator had ever seen this fairy, indeed.
